Jay Schwartz

Jay has worked in the field of special education for over 20 years. As a versatile educator, Jay has been a case manager for 300+ students and has taught English Language Arts and Science to both self-contained classes and to inclusion students at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Jay is a dedicated student advocate and has written many Individual Education Plans (I.E.P.s). He has a strong focus on the individual need of a student, employing innovative approaches toward motivating students and creating incentives for appropriate behavior and remaining on task. Jay has a master’s in special education, and a master’s in educational leadership, from Northeastern Illinois University. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, and likes sports, movies and gathering with friends.
